Every part of the Black Talon is shaped around the hand. The full-length handle spans your grip so control and leverage come from the whole fist rather than a fingertip, and the robust, ergonomic body is easy to hold and maneuver without fatigue over a long carry. A textured thumb grip anchors one end for a secure, comfortable seat in the palm, so the tool stays put when it matters.
Two ways to strike
It works two ways at once. The longer spike at the far end gives you reach, letting you meet a threat before it closes and hold an attacker at a safe distance. The single finger ring rides on your hand with its own spike standing off the tip, ready for fast, precise strikes at close quarters where there is no room to wind up.

Built of non-metal carbon-fiber-reinforced PET, it is high-strength, impact resistant, and ultra light weight, so it disappears into everyday carry until you need it.

PET-CF — carbon-fiber-reinforced PET. Every Bearly Defense item is made from the same material: polyethylene terephthalate reinforced throughout with carbon fiber. It is an ultra light weight, high-strength engineering composite, and it is 100% non-metallic — no metal core, no metal insert, no metal fastener, no metal anywhere in the part. (The items that ship on a key ring come with a metal ring and a nylon paracord lanyard; the ring is the only metal in the box, and it comes off.)
- Exceptional strength-to-weight — the stiffness the job needs at a fraction of the weight of metal, so it carries all day without you noticing it
- High temperature resistant — keeps its shape and its properties in a hot vehicle, a hot pack, or a hot afternoon
- Impact resistant — the carbon fiber spreads shock through the part instead of letting it crack, so it takes heavy, repeated use
- Weather and sun / UV resistant — rain, damp, snow, and salt air do nothing to it, and there is no metal on it to rust or corrode
- Durable — no oiling, no drying, no rust prevention; soap and water is the entire maintenance routine
Made in the USA.
Pointed tip, dull non-cutting edges. The tip is a genuine point — it is not blunt and it is not blunted. The edges are the opposite: they are not sharpened, and being polymer they will not cut like a knife. A real point with dull, non-cutting edges is exactly what arrives.
Care and limits. The point is user-serviceable — if it dulls or chips, a few passes with a fine file bring it back, and you can re-sharpen the point yourself at home. A polymer point is not steel, though: prying with the tip, twisting it under load, hammering on it, or dropping the item point-first onto concrete can chip or snap it. Treat the point as the fine part of the tool and it lasts; abuse it and it will break. Clean with soap and water.
Quality guarantee. We guarantee our carbon fiber tools will be free of manufacturing defects that affect the function of the item, or they will be replaced free of charge — within 1 year of purchase by an authorized reseller, running from delivery to the reseller, and 90 days from the date of purchase by the final consumer, running from the retail sale. The guarantee covers original manufacturing defects only: it does not cover damage, wear and tear, normal use, or anything else affecting the item. The item must be purchased by the consumer during the reseller guarantee period, or the consumer guarantee does not apply.
